About the Award:
The SIA-Getz Architecture Prize for Emergent Architecture in Asia honors bi-annually an architect, who has provided creative innovations to enrich the built environment while making waves in Asia and beyond through his distinctive works.

About the Award logo:
In line with the aim of the Prize, the Logo symbolizes Asia’s emergent Architecture. The six steps skywards denote the Architects passion and desire to excel. It portrays the aspirations of Asia’s architectural industry. The six layers also resemble the silhouette of roof-tops-both Asian and modern. The logo is in gold as gold is a winner’s colour. Gold also represents the richness and vibrancy of Asian culture and Asian architecture.

About SIA:
The Singapore Institute of Architects is a professional organization established in 1961 with the objective to promote the architectural profession and the built environment in Singapore. The Institute is the sole representative for the architectural profession in Singapore.

Why are we committed to the Award:
As a nearly century old corporate in the Building Construction industry, Getz has enjoyed a long, rich & memorable relationship with Architects in Asia. This has given us insight into how architects create sustainable, indigenous, contextually appropriate masterpieces out of buildings. To recognize this creative talent of Asia’s emergent architects, Getz Bros and the SIA have introduced the SIA-Getz Architecture Prize.

We hope this Architecture Prize will spur architects to even greater heights!
